Growing up in California, I have always been amazed at the scenic beauty of our state. I cannot remember a time when I didn't have a camera in my hand, but it wasn't until October of 1998 that I decided to purchase professional equipment and pursue photography full time. I travelled approximately four months per year collecting stock images; my travels focused on California, Alaska, and Hawaii.

My special interests included macro photography, especially wildflowers. Ernest Braun and Trenkins McClain were a big influence on my style. I also enjoyed nature photography.

I spent two Summers in Alaska; eight weeks in Katmai National Park photographing grizzly bears (2000) and four weeks traveling around inland Alaska (1999).

Accomplishments:

  • I participated in local El Dorado and Marin County art shows.
  • I received numerous first place awards at the 2001 Merced County Fair, including Best in Division.
  • I was published in VIA Magazine (July/August 2000 issue).
  • My website was featured in Shutterbug magazine, Web Profiles (April 2001).
  • My greeting cards were sold commercially in local stores (El Dorado county, Stanislaus county, and Merced county).
  • I taught macro photography at Merced Junior College, Modesto Junior College, and Fresno Adult School.

It is my pleasure to share my collection of images with you! Enjoy!
